Burnout: The quiet crisis we never talk about.

If you’re a woman running a business, juggling a million things, and trying to keep it all together, you’re not alone. Lately, I’ve been having more and more conversations with clients who are reaching out for the same reason – burnout.

It’s something we don’t always recognise until it hits us. And even then, we often feel uncomfortable talking about it. But burnout doesn’t always arrive with drama. Sometimes, it just quietly slips in.
You’re still showing up. Still doing the work. Still smiling. But deep down… something’s off.
My Own Burnout Story
A few years ago, I hit burnout myself. I was exhausted, disconnected, and completely out of alignment with the life and business I’d built. On paper, I was “doing well.” I’d ticked all the boxes. But somewhere along the way, I’d lost myself.
And here’s the thing: burnout doesn’t always come from doing too much. Sometimes, it comes from doing things that just don’t feel right anymore. From ignoring those quiet whispers that tell you:
“This isn’t working.”
“You’ve changed.”
“You’re allowed to want something different now.”
When I hit that wall, I didn’t know how to cope. I hid away under a duvet, binge-watching daytime TV, feeling completely alone. For someone who had always been resourceful—who’d moved my family to Cumbria and built a business from scratch—it felt like failure.
But what I really needed was someone who understood. I didn’t want to throw away everything I’d worked so hard to create. I just needed to find a different way of working.
It took time (and a lot of soul-searching) for me to feel like myself again. But that experience planted the seed for what would eventually become my coaching programme: Brilliant & BOLD.
Why I Created Brilliant & BOLD
I created Brilliant & BOLD because it’s the support I wish I’d had back then—a space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with who you are underneath all the noise.
It’s about figuring out what you really want now—not what you used to want, or what others expect from you. It’s about building a business that supports your life, instead of draining it.
✨ A business that’s aligned with your values.
✨ That lights you up instead of wearing you down
.✨ That gives you space to grow, not just hustle.
Brilliant & BOLD isn’t just for women in the depths of burnout. It’s for anyone who recognises something needs to change, but isn’t sure where to start.
You’re Not Alone
If you’ve been feeling tired, stuck, misaligned, or just a bit lost, please know you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
You are allowed to stop surviving and start creating something that feels m aligned to you—and the life you deserve.
If Brilliant & BOLD sounds like the support you need, I’d be honoured to help you through your next chapter. And if now’s not the right time, you’re always welcome to book a virtual brew with me for a no-pressure chat and a bit of clarity.
Ready to talk? Book a virtual brew here – no pressure, just a real conversation.

This post captured burnout perfectly — how it creeps in quietly until suddenly even basic tasks feel heavy and you don’t recognize your own pace anymore, and I appreciate how honestly it shines light on something so many of us hide. I hit that point recently while trying to finish my law research chapters, working a part-time job, and still pretending I “had it together,” until one morning I couldn’t even focus long enough to outline a single page and realized I was running on fumes. Stepping back and getting support from Law Dissertation Writing Services helped me breathe again and reclaim time for simple grounding things — long walks, journaling, and finally prioritizing my wellbeing instead of just pushing…
