When your values are triggered...

I thought I knew my values inside out.
I’ve spent years shaping my business and life around them; journaling, reflecting, realigning, doing the deep work to make sure everything I do feels true to who I am.
So when something triggered me last week I was surprised at how deeply it hit.
Someone didn’t value my time, my energy or my investment… and it really got to me!
I couldn’t stop thinking about it, because it wasn’t just rude or disappointing, it was a direct hit to one of my deepest core values: feeling valued.
That moment reminded me that sometimes we don’t discover our values in a workbook…we remember them when someone crosses them.
So I’ve made a big decision, to step away from something that’s been part of my world for a long time, because I refuse to stay anywhere I’m not truly valued.
Triggers show us what matters.
And walking away is sometimes the most aligned thing we can do!
