Your Business Probably Isn't the Problem

Your business is not the problem

One of the biggest misconceptions I see amongst business owners is that they think they're stuck because they don't know enough.

They think they need another course, another strategy, a better website, a new logo, or a completely different offer. But after working with hundreds of business owners over the years, I know that most people already know far more than they think they do.

The problem isn't usually a lack of knowledge. The problem is everything that gets in the way of taking action.

Fear of getting it wrong.

Worrying what people will think.

Overthinking every decision.

Changing direction every five minutes because someone on social media is doing something different.

Waiting until everything is perfect before pressing publish.

Convincing yourself you'll start properly next week, next month, or after the kids go back to school.

I've done it myself. We all have.

The truth is that business isn't complicated. At its heart, it's about solving a problem, building relationships, telling people how you can help, and consistently showing up.

The challenge is that we're human beings trying to run businesses, and human beings are wonderfully complicated.

We have doubts.

We lose confidence.

We compare ourselves to people who are ten steps ahead.

We get distracted.

We procrastinate.

We convince ourselves that we're being productive when really, we're avoiding the thing that matters most.

That's why I believe support matters so much. Not because someone else has all the answers, but because sometimes you need somebody to help you cut through the noise.

Somebody to remind you what you're working towards.

Somebody to challenge your excuses when you're playing safe.

Somebody to help you make a decision instead of sitting on the fence for six months.

And sometimes, if we're being completely honest, somebody to tell you to stop overcomplicating things and just get on with it.

The clients who make the biggest progress aren't always the most experienced or the most qualified. They're the ones who stay in the game.

They keep taking action even when they don't feel 100% ready.

They ask for help when they need it.

They make decisions.

They learn from what works and what doesn't.

And they keep moving forward.

So, if you've been telling yourself that you need more knowledge, more time, more confidence or more certainty before you can take the next step, maybe ask yourself this:

Do you really need more information?

Or do you need to trust yourself enough to act on what you already know?

Because the next breakthrough in your business probably isn't hiding in another course or another free download.

It's waiting on the other side of a decision you've been putting off.

And that decision doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be made.
